Scaling Course Production with AI-powered Authoring: A ProDriven Global Brands Case Study

ProDriven Global Brands needed a scalable way to expand production and delivery of their product and safety training courses—without compromising time, budget, or quality.   

Solution

By using Easygenerator alongside their BlueVolt Learning Management System, ProDriven Global Brands empowered their internal team to refresh outdated content and launch new interactive courses, while BlueVolt scaled delivery across their training networks.   

The Story

ProDriven Global Brands, which boasts a portfolio of notable brands including WERNER®, WEATHER GUARD®, and KNAACK®, is a global manufacturer with over 5,000 employees across four continents serving residential, commercial, industrial, construction, and automotive industries.  

For ProDriven Brands, training is key: they provide product and safety courses, including certification programs, for professionals across the industry. 

Warren Lantz, a Digital Content Specialist who’s been with ProDriven Global Brands for over eight and a half years, manages the company’s LMS. For the past 15 years, ProDriven Brands has been working with BlueVolt to focus on training for their North American brands. 

After taking over their LMS, Lantz realized they needed to scale content output—but outsourcing a course was costly, and small changes required days of back-and-forth.  

Recently, however, Lantz discovered Easygenerator, an AI-powered authoring tool, through their partnership with BlueVolt.  

With this tool, Lantz is able to leverage the company’s pre-existing assets—elements from the design team and expert information—into interactive courses. 

“It’s a perfect marriage. We have high-quality visuals and we have experts in the field, and being able to combine all of that through a simple tool makes course creation very easy,” said Lantz. 

In his first seven months of using Easygenerator, Lantz put out seven courses, and he plans to continue releasing both new and updated courses. 

“What used to take us three to five months takes us one or two days with Easygenerator,” Lantz said. “By leveraging our existing content, we’ve saved countless hours.” 

According to Lantz, course creation used to be “about $3000 to $5000… the return on investment paid for the program immediately.” 

Lantz appreciates the AI text-to-speech feature, which allows him to easily produce and update professional narration, as well as the ability to make updates without asking third parties for old files. 

“If I need to update a video, I can update it quickly,” Lantz said. “In 10 minutes, I can have a new course in place on BlueVolt.” 

While Easygenerator made it convenient to scale content output, BlueVolt made it possible to scale training reach. 

“We’re doing visual updates to existing courses and launching new courses for new products,” said Lantz. “BlueVolt takes care of the rest in terms of sharing out to specific networks. Some of our customers have Universities already in BlueVolt, so it provides a vehicle to distribute the new training courses.” 

For example, one of the safety courses he launched in January already has over a thousand enrollments. Of those enrollments, over 15% are from outside their University. 

In the future, Lantz is looking to add multi-language options for some of their existing courses. 

“Simply go into Easygenerator, hit copy, and then change all the text to Spanish,” Lantz said. “Instead of another [few thousand dollars] and three months, in a couple of days, we have a Spanish version. So that’s probably in the near future.”

“It enhances an already good product for BlueVolt,” Lantz said. “It’s made it a whole lot easier to produce courses, and it allows our company to share more valuable information to a larger audience.”
